Battery Scrap Buyers in Delhi NCR

Lead-acid batteries are regulated waste. Selling them to whoever knocks on the gate is a compliance risk as well as a pricing one.

Quick answer

  • Rate band: ₹84 – ₹96 depending on grade, confirmed on the day you sell.
  • Pickup: free across Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, usually within 24 hours.
  • Weighing: on your own floor, in front of you, with a written slip.
  • Payment: cash, UPI or bank transfer before the material is loaded.

Used lead-acid batteries fall under India's Battery Waste Management Rules. They may only be handed to a registered collection channel, and informal smelting of them is one of the more serious lead-pollution problems in the country. For a company, an undocumented battery disposal is an audit finding waiting to happen.

We collect batteries against proper documentation and route them to authorised recyclers. You get a weighment slip, an invoice and a handover record for your compliance file. The rate is straightforward — lead-acid batteries price by weight, with a modest variation for type and condition.

Battery Scrap rates by grade

These are working ranges for the Delhi NCR market. Grade decides the number far more than quantity does, so the first thing we do on site is sort and identify.

What we accept

  • Car, truck, bus and tractor batteries
  • Home inverter and tubular batteries
  • UPS and SMF/VRLA battery banks
  • Forklift and industrial traction cells
  • Telecom and data centre battery banks
  • Loose lead plates and scrap lead
  • Battery racks and connecting links
  • Leaking or damaged batteries (contained handling)

Data centres, telecom and offices

UPS battery replacement cycles produce large banks of SMF batteries at once. These are heavy, awkward and time-sensitive to clear. We bring trolleys and containment, remove the bank without dragging acid across your floor, and hand over the documentation set the same day.

What compliant handling actually means

Batteries travel upright in contained crates, not loose in a tipper. Damaged or leaking cells go into sealed containment. The consignment goes to a recycler registered under the Battery Waste Management Rules, and you receive a record of that handover. Informal smelting — the alternative — poisons the people doing it.

How to sell your battery scrap

  1. Send photos. WhatsApp a couple of clear pictures with a rough quantity to +91 79831 29840. Photographs settle grading questions faster than any description.
  2. Get an indicative rate. We reply with a range, usually within the hour during working times.
  3. Book the pickup. Our team reaches you with the scale, tools and vehicle. Larger lots get a free survey first.
  4. Watch the weighing. Every grade is weighed separately and written on a slip you keep.
  5. Take payment. Cash, UPI or bank transfer settles before loading. Invoice and gate pass follow on request.
Not sure which grade you have? That is normal, and it is our job rather than yours. Send photographs on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it is and what it is worth before anyone travels.

Battery Scrap — common questions

What is today's battery scrap rate?

Lead-acid batteries generally run ₹84–96 per kg depending on type and condition. Loose lead plate and scrap lead price considerably higher at ₹150–180 per kg because there is no case weight to discount. Lead tracks LME and moves week to week.

Do you provide disposal documentation?

Yes. A GST invoice, an item-wise weighment slip and a handover record naming the authorised recycler. For companies maintaining a hazardous waste register, that is the paperwork your auditor will ask for.

Will you collect leaking or damaged batteries?

Yes, with containment. Tell us in advance so the crew brings sealed crates and absorbent. Please do not attempt to move a leaking battery yourself — electrolyte is sulphuric acid and it will damage both skin and flooring.

Do you buy lithium-ion batteries?

We assess them case by case. Lithium packs from EVs, laptops and power tools require different handling and go through a different recycling route than lead-acid. Send photos and the pack rating and we will tell you whether we can take them and at what rate.
