Disposing of company IT hardware is not really a scrap transaction. It is a compliance event under the E-Waste (Management) Rules and a data-security event under whatever privacy obligations your organisation carries. The scrap value is almost incidental next to those two.

Data destruction before anything moves
Drives are either wiped to a recognised overwrite standard or physically shredded, and you receive a certificate listing every serial number handled. For sensitive environments we do the destruction at your premises before the hardware leaves the building — that removes the chain-of-custody question entirely.
Office refresh and data-centre clearance
IT refresh cycles produce hundreds of units at once. We inventory against your asset register, stage the removal so it does not disrupt the floor, and reconcile the buy-back line by line. Data-centre decommissioning includes racks, PDUs, cooling and structured cabling as one project.

Do you provide a data destruction certificate?
Yes, listing each drive by serial number and the method used — multi-pass overwrite or physical shredding. For regulated environments we carry out the destruction on your premises before the hardware is loaded, so nothing readable ever leaves your building.
Where does the e-waste actually go?
To recyclers authorised under the E-Waste (Management) Rules. You receive the handover record naming the facility. This matters: as the waste generator, your obligation does not end when the truck leaves the gate, so the paperwork is the part that actually protects you.
Is old IT equipment worth anything at all?
More than most people assume. Servers, laptops and populated boards carry real value, and equipment with remaining service life is worth more resold than shredded. We assess for resale first and pay the higher of the two — there is no advantage to us in scrapping something that could be refurbished.
Can you handle a full data-centre decommission?
Yes. Racks, servers, storage, network gear, PDUs, UPS banks, cooling units and structured cabling, planned around your migration schedule. These are surveyed and quoted as projects, with the equipment buy-back set against the decommissioning labour.
