What we collect

Only what a quote needs: your name, phone number, email if you give one, the location for pickup, and whatever you tell us about the material. If you send photographs on WhatsApp, we hold those too.

Our website does not run advertising trackers or sell data to third parties. Basic analytics may record which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from, in aggregate.

Why we collect it

To give you a rate and arrange a collection
To raise invoices, gate passes and weighment records
To meet record-keeping obligations for regulated waste streams such as e-waste and batteries

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone
We do not pass your contact information to other scrap dealers
We do not send marketing messages to people who have not asked for them

Sharing

Your details are shared only where a transaction requires it — with authorised recyclers where a regulated waste handover record names the generator, and with our accountant and tax authorities for invoicing. Nowhere else.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become collections are deleted within a year. Transaction records are kept for the period Indian tax and waste-management rules require, currently eight years for GST records.

Your choices

Ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing scrapvanta@gmail.com, and we will do so except where a record must be retained by law. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold.

Data destruction for IT clients

Where we handle IT hardware, drive wiping or shredding is performed under our ITAD process and certified by serial number. We do not access, copy or retain any data on equipment we collect.
