Doorstep scrap pickup, Delhi NCR
Key points
- Wipe your data before handing over any phone, laptop or computer.
- Chargers, cables, remotes and routers are all e-waste — collect them in one box.
- E-waste should go to authorised recyclers, not open burning yards.
- Old electronics have value — you should be paid for them.
What counts as e-waste
Anything with a plug, a battery or a circuit board: phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, monitors, TVs, printers, routers, set-top boxes, chargers, cables, remotes, electric toys and small kitchen appliances.
Wiping a phone
Back up your photos and contacts. Sign out of your Google or Apple account — this matters, because a phone still linked to your account may be locked for the next user. Then do a full factory reset from settings. Remove the SIM card and memory card.
Wiping a laptop or computer
Back up what you need. Use the operating system's reset option to remove everything, or simply take out the hard disk or SSD and keep it. If the computer does not switch on, removing the disk is the safest option.
Why proper recycling matters
Circuit boards and cables are often burned in the open to recover copper, releasing toxic smoke. Screens and batteries contain lead and other hazardous materials. Authorised recyclers recover the metals without that damage.
Make it a habit
Keep one box for dead electronics. When it is full, book a pickup. It stops drawers filling up with tangled chargers and keeps batteries from swelling unnoticed.
Questions
Do you pay for old phones and chargers?
Yes. E-waste has material value and we pay for it.
What if my laptop does not turn on?
Remove the hard disk yourself, or ask our team to remove it in front of you so you can keep it.
