Cable & Wire Scrap Buyers

Cable is priced on what is inside it. We tell you the recovery percentage we are working to, so the number is checkable.

Quick answer

  • Rate band: ₹95 – ₹420 depending on grade, confirmed on the day you sell.
  • Pickup: free across Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, usually within 24 hours.
  • Weighing: on your own floor, in front of you, with a written slip.
  • Payment: cash, UPI or bank transfer before the material is loaded.

Every cable rate is really a copper rate with a recovery assumption behind it. A 4-core 25 sq mm armoured cable might be 30% copper by weight; a thin control cable might be 12%. Quote both at the same rate per kilo and one of you is losing.

We quote cable per kilo of cable, and we will tell you the recovery figure we have assumed. If you want to check it, cut a metre, strip it and weigh the copper — the arithmetic is simple and we are happy for you to do it.

Cable & Wire Scrap rates by grade

These are working ranges for the Delhi NCR market. Grade decides the number far more than quantity does, so the first thing we do on site is sort and identify.

GradeWhat it coversIndicative rate
Heavy armoured cable (Cu)LT power cable, 16 sq mm and above, copper conductor₹230 – 420/kg
Light armoured cable (Cu)Smaller power cable, 4–16 sq mm₹180 – 260/kg
Flexible wire & house wirePVC flexible, single core, multi-strand copper₹300 – 430/kg
Control & instrument cableMulti-core signal cable, thin conductors, high insulation ratio₹120 – 200/kg
Aluminium armoured cableAluminium conductor LT cable and ACSR₹95 – 135/kg
Telecom & data cableJelly-filled, LAN, coaxial₹95 – 165/kg
Stripped copper (from cable)Copper recovered after stripping, priced as No. 1 or bright₹640 – 715/kg
Indicative rates for New Delhi and NCR, revised with the market. Call +91 79831 29840 for the rate on the day you plan to sell — quoted rates are held for 48 hours.

What we accept

  • LT and HT power cable, copper or aluminium
  • PVC flexible and house wiring cable
  • Armoured and unarmoured multi-core cable
  • Control, instrumentation and signal cable
  • LAN, coaxial and telecom cable
  • Welding cable and trailing cable
  • Cable drums and off-cut ends from contractors
  • Winding wire and enamelled conductor

Contractors and rewiring projects

Electrical contractors accumulate cable ends, off-cuts and stripped-out old runs across every project. We collect by drum or by bundle, weigh at your store and pay against a rate sheet agreed for the project rather than haggled per visit.

Please do not burn cable

Burning is illegal under the air pollution rules, releases dioxins that harm whoever is standing nearby, and it oxidises the copper surface so the metal drops a grade. Burnt copper reliably fetches less than the same cable sold whole. There is no version of this where burning pays.

How to sell your cable & wire scrap

  1. Send photos. WhatsApp a couple of clear pictures with a rough quantity to +91 79831 29840. Photographs settle grading questions faster than any description.
  2. Get an indicative rate. We reply with a range, usually within the hour during working times.
  3. Book the pickup. Our team reaches you with the scale, tools and vehicle. Larger lots get a free survey first.
  4. Watch the weighing. Every grade is weighed separately and written on a slip you keep.
  5. Take payment. Cash, UPI or bank transfer settles before loading. Invoice and gate pass follow on request.
Not sure which grade you have? That is normal, and it is our job rather than yours. Send photographs on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it is and what it is worth before anyone travels.

Cable & Wire Scrap — common questions

How do you decide the rate for a particular cable?

By conductor material, conductor size and the ratio of copper to insulation and armour. We identify the cable from its printed marking or by cutting an end, state the recovery percentage we are working to, and quote per kilo of cable on that basis.

Is it better to strip cable myself?

For thick single-core cable, often yes — stripped copper earns the full No. 1 or bright rate. For thin multi-core cable it is rarely worth the hours. We strip mechanically at our yard, so bring it whole unless you already have the equipment and the time.

Do you buy aluminium conductor cable?

Yes, at roughly a third of the copper equivalent. Aluminium is easy to mistake for copper under oxidation, so we cut and check an end in front of you before quoting — that check protects both sides.

What about jelly-filled telecom cable?

We buy it. Recovery is lower because of the jelly and the very fine conductors, which is reflected in the rate. Large telecom decommissioning lots are worth quoting as a project rather than by the kilo.

Selling cable & wire scrap? Get the rate first.

One message with a photo is usually all it takes. We reply with a number, then come and weigh it in front of you.
