Iron and steel make up the bulk weight of nearly every industrial and construction clearance we handle. The rate per kilo is modest, so the things that actually change what you receive are section thickness, how much non-metallic material is mixed in, and whether the load can be cut and lifted efficiently.
For anything above two or three tonnes we survey first, quote a rate against the whole lot, and bring our own gas cutting and lifting equipment. Truck loads go over a public weighbridge and you keep the receipt — there is no reasonable way to weigh ten tonnes on a platform scale, and we do not pretend otherwise.

These are working ranges for the Delhi NCR market. Grade decides the number far more than quantity does, so the first thing we do on site is sort and identify.

Construction sites and demolition
Shuttering plate, centring material, rebar off-cuts and scaffolding accumulate through a build and then all become surplus at handover. We collect through the project or clear it in one lift at the end — the second usually pays better per kilo because a single large load is cheaper for us to move.
Factories and workshops
Press off-cuts, rejected components, worn tooling and machine frames. Where the volume is steady we set an annual rate contract indexed to the market so neither side is renegotiating every month, and we supply bins to keep steel swarf separate from mixed waste.
How to sell your iron & steel scrap
- Send photos. WhatsApp a couple of clear pictures with a rough quantity to +91 79831 29840. Photographs settle grading questions faster than any description.
- Get an indicative rate. We reply with a range, usually within the hour during working times.
- Book the pickup. Our team reaches you with the scale, tools and vehicle. Larger lots get a free survey first.
- Watch the weighing. Every grade is weighed separately and written on a slip you keep.
- Take payment. Cash, UPI or bank transfer settles before loading. Invoice and gate pass follow on request.
Iron & Steel Scrap — common questions
What is today's iron scrap rate in Delhi?
Heavy melting scrap generally runs ₹31–37 per kg, shuttering plate ₹28–33 and light sheet iron ₹24–29. Rates follow the mill buying price and change weekly rather than daily. For truck-load quantities we quote against the specific lot after a survey.
Do you handle very heavy items we cannot move?
Yes. We bring gas cutting sets, chain pulleys and, where the site allows, a hydra or crane. Machine beds, tanks, structural steel and industrial frames are cut down on site and loaded by our crew. That is included in the quoted rate for anything above our minimum lot size.
How is a truck load weighed?
Over a public weighbridge — empty weight in, loaded weight out, and you keep both slips. You are welcome to send someone along with the vehicle. For loads under a tonne we weigh on a platform scale at your site instead.
Is stainless steel bought at the iron rate?
No, and this is worth checking with any buyer. SS 304 is worth roughly four times ordinary iron. If a lot contains stainless mixed with mild steel we separate it with a magnet in front of you and price the two piles separately.
