An air circuit breaker sold as mixed iron is one of the more expensive mistakes in this trade. Inside it are silver contacts, copper coils and a copper busbar assembly, and a working unit may be worth more resold than scrapped.
Electrical scrap is the part of our business that our name actually leads with. We assess switchgear on what it contains and whether it still has resale life, quote accordingly, and carry out the removal with a supervisor present and the feeder isolated and locked off.
Electrical Scrap rates by grade
These are working ranges for the Delhi NCR market. Grade decides the number far more than quantity does, so the first thing we do on site is sort and identify.
| Grade | What it covers | Indicative rate |
|---|---|---|
| Air circuit breaker (ACB) | Draw-out and fixed ACBs, 630A upward — assessed for resale first | ₹90 – 380/kg |
| MCCB / MCB | Moulded case and miniature breakers, all ratings | ₹75 – 190/kg |
| Copper busbar | Panel busbar, earthing strip, riser bar | ₹640 – 690/kg |
| Aluminium busbar | Aluminium riser and distribution bar | ₹150 – 180/kg |
| Panel body & enclosure | CRCA sheet enclosure, MCC and PCC cubicles after strip-out | ₹26 – 32/kg |
| Contactors & relays | Starters, contactors, timers, control relays | ₹85 – 165/kg |
| Transformer (dry / oil) | Distribution and control transformers, copper or aluminium wound | ₹110 – 300/kg |
| Cable trays & trunking | GI and aluminium tray, ladder and trunking | ₹27 – 155/kg |
What we accept

- Meters, CTs, PTs and instrument panels
Panel upgrades and factory modernisation
When a plant replaces an old MCC line or upgrades from fixed to draw-out switchgear, the removed equipment is often only a few years past its service life. We assess each unit for resale value before quoting it as scrap, and the difference is frequently substantial — a serviceable 1600A ACB is not a heap of metal.
Safety and isolation
We do not touch a panel that has not been isolated. Our crew works with the feeder locked off and tagged, with the site electrician present, and with insulated tools and PPE. For live-adjacent work in operating plants we schedule around your shutdown rather than asking you to schedule around us.
How to sell your electrical scrap
- Send photos. WhatsApp a couple of clear pictures with a rough quantity to +91 79831 29840. Photographs settle grading questions faster than any description.
- Get an indicative rate. We reply with a range, usually within the hour during working times.
- Book the pickup. Our team reaches you with the scale, tools and vehicle. Larger lots get a free survey first.
- Watch the weighing. Every grade is weighed separately and written on a slip you keep.
- Take payment. Cash, UPI or bank transfer settles before loading. Invoice and gate pass follow on request.
Electrical Scrap — common questions
Is my old ACB worth more as scrap or resale?
Frequently resale, especially for common ratings from major brands in working condition. Send us the nameplate photo — make, rating, breaking capacity and year — and we will tell you which is worth more. Where resale is better we pay the higher figure; there is no reason for us to hide that from you.
Do you remove panels from a live plant?
Only after the feeder is isolated, locked and tagged, and with your electrician present to confirm the isolation. We plan removals around planned shutdowns. Nothing about a scrap value justifies working a live panel.
What paperwork do you provide for a plant?
A GST invoice, a gate pass, an item-wise weighment slip and a summary listing each asset removed by tag number where you maintain one. That set is what most maintenance and finance departments need to close out an asset disposal.
Do you buy transformers with oil still in them?
Yes. We drain and contain the oil ourselves and dispose of it through authorised channels — used transformer oil is a regulated waste and should not simply be tipped. Oil-filled units are quoted after we confirm the winding material, since copper-wound and aluminium-wound transformers differ sharply in value.
